And this is my answer to everything

These days, I'm so bored that I find myself doing things I rarely do, like mingling with people. It's 4 in the afternoon, and the skies are cloudy with intermittent rain. I'm at the railway platform with no specific destination or even a ticket. I'm just sitting here, pondering what's happening to me. Why am I so bored? How can I get people to read what I've written? How can I become famous and wealthy? How can I find that special person I long for, even though I don't know who she is? There are so many questions, and I'm not sure what to do.

Sometimes I sit with my legs crossed, other times I bow my head in thought. After each deep reflection, I let out a heavy sigh because I genuinely don't have all the answers.

I often wonder what it would be like if someone interviewed me. Imagine I'm sitting in front of the interviewer with everyone watching on television, and it's a live broadcast. The interviewer asks, "I've read that you talk about your life challenges, struggles, thoughts, and your quest for happiness. You seem to desire to overcome everything or reach somewhere. If you had the power to convey any message to the world exactly as you wanted, what would your answer be? How can one get past everything?"

In response, I'd take a moment, sigh deeply, and say, "Throughout my life, I've wanted many things. I desired a beautiful girlfriend, access to a variety of foods, loads of money, dreams of becoming an actor and a writer – both big and small aspirations. At one point, I wanted to express my true feelings and understanding to others precisely as I envisioned. I wanted complete control over happiness, laughter, cherished moments, and people I held dear. And I sought answers. I questioned everything, asking for reasons behind my pain, when it would end, why it was happening to me, and what sins I had committed. I asked countless questions. I received answers – some sympathetic, some thought-provoking, some that made me pause, and others that briefly satisfied me. Yet, I was never truly content. I yearned for an answer that would silence all my questions once and for all. I craved an answer that would set me free from the incessant questioning that occurs in exams, coffee shops, airports, trains, and everywhere else. I wanted an answer that could liberate me from the endless questions I would ask myself and others.

So, in response to your question, I may choose not to provide an answer. Even though I could say something that makes you smile, nod, and even express gratitude, it would eventually become clear – to you, to viewers, to listeners around the world, and to me – that it wasn't a real answer; it was just nonsense. I'm not joking. Whatever I might say could momentarily make you think you've found your answer, but after some time, when you face life's challenges, you'll remember my answer and realize it's the most ridiculous response ever – and the same goes for any answer out there.

Hence, the best and most sensible thing I can do is ask you a counter-question: What did you learn from my book? Did you find your answer? Do you truly know who you are? Was reading my book worthwhile? I can keep asking questions, and you can't fault me for it. Questions are never foolish, never absurd, never wrong, never harsh – they're simply part of life, guiding us to where we belong. So, keep seeking answers, and one day, you'll understand everything and have all the answers you need. Thank you."
